Science Non-Fiction Book Group

The Science Non-Fiction Book Group will meet on Tuesday, February 20.  Our book will be "The Idea Factory: Bell Labs and the Great Age of American Innovation," by Jon Gertner. As the research arm of AT&T, Bell Labs was a source of great innovations. The author discusses some of them, as well as the environment that made such creativity possible.

On March 20, we will discuss “This Is Your Brain on Parasites: How Tiny Creatures Manipulate Our Behavior and Shape Society”, by Kathleen McAuliffe. Some of these parasites have been known for a while, but new technologies have allowed us to recognize the role of our microbiome in our behavior.

We will meet in Forbes Hall at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome. Contact: Rebecca Crawford.
