This Month, We're All Invited to Sunday Lemonade Parties
Our church’s Capital Campaign had, by mid-July, raised over $700,000 toward
the goal of $1 million to build two religious exploration classrooms to the
north of Forbes Hall, convert the house next door to offices, and expand our
historic sanctuary.
During August members of the Capital Campaign will call those who have not
yet pledged to the building of our dream. “One-third of our members have made
their pledges to the building fund, and the two-thirds of our members who have
not yet pledged will be asked to help us raise the remaining $300,000.” says
Ron Crane, Capital Campaign Chair. “All members will be asked to make a date
on a Sunday in August to join us for lemonade in the courtyard. At that time
we’ll have pledge tables at which you may complete your 2005 pledge and become
a ‘Builder.’
“If you have already pledged, join us each Sunday to socialize,” adds Ron.
“If you have not pledged, join us to socialize, celebrate, and pledge, so we
can make our goal of $1 million with 100% participation. This is our-oncein-
a-lifetime opportunity to build our community.”
