UUSM - Religious Exploration - RE Program Arc
RE
Program Arc
The Religious Exploration program of UUCCSM is dedicated to the personal and
spiritual development of our children and youth within the context of our Unitarian
Universalist faith.

What we want children and youth to learn in RE:
Preschool
I am loved and so is everybody else; church is a family.
Lower Elementary
Church is a place where we ask questions about the world and about life, and
work together to come up with answers; church is a family.
Upper Elementary
Being UU matters; I can make the world a better place; our 7 UU principles can help guide me as I think about how to be a good person.
Middle School
All varieties of religious expression have value and it is important to learn
about different faiths; I can search for what resonates with me.
Coming of Age
I am of age to claim my identity as a UU; I can think about and articulate
what I believe right now (though it will continue to develop throughout my
life), and our church community will celebrate it with me.
Senior High
Being UU means being in authentic community; the way we live in the world and
the way we treat one another matters. I have a lot to give to our faith and
to the world.
