There will be a variety of arts and crafts made by church members and guest artists. Pottery, jewelry, cards, fused glass and more. We always have a great selection for you or for gifts - and the church receives a percentage of the money from everything sold.

Our church’s program for integrating peace and social justice concerns into the life of the congregation. The Peace & Social Justice Committee (PSJ) focuses many activities in the areas of labor and economic issues; racism, police brutality, and mass incarceration; immigration and immigrant detention; and peace and alternatives to war. It also collaborates with the Green Committee on activities focusing on climate change.

The Peace & Social Justice Committee meets on the 3rd Sunday of every month after second service. New members are welcome and needed. For more information please email Dierdra Deitel. If you do not have email, please stop by the Faith in Action table in Forbes Hall.

Bill Blake will present an enjoyable dive into the who and what we are. This on-going, twice a month classon the 1st and 3rd Monday is presented to help participants master specific meditation skills. We endeavor to answer the questions Who am I? (attitudes and beliefs) and What am I? (essence or true nature). This class will include meditations that explore participants' spiritual goals. The monthly group meetings will also focus on insights gained throughout the month. It is expected that participants will develop and enjoy a regular meditation practice.

The book for November 19 is "Clean Meat: How Growing Meat without Animals Will Revolutionize Dinner and the World," by Paul Shapiro. Recently, plant-based meat substitutes of varying palatability have become the rage. Following behind is cellular meat culture. Shades of soylent green? No animals harmed in the process – or are they?

The Men's Group offers a special opportunity to the men of the congregation and other like-minded men to join our welcoming group in provocative and stimulating discussion and to get to know others with UU perspectives in a more meaningful way. We meet the first and third Thursdays of the month at 7:30 PM in the NE room of the Cottage.

The topic for November 7 is: What was the most alarming thing that happened to any of your children?  If no children, what alarming/serious thing happened to your significant other - or to you?

The topic for November 21 is: How did you meet your wife/significant other and when did you know that you wanted to be together as long as possible/marry?

It’s time for the annual Thanksgiving potluck!

Attendees will be asked to bring food and sign up for a volunteer job. We also need several people to cook turkeys. All are welcome.

Our book will be The Soul of Money: Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Life by Lynne Twist. The book is in four parts. We will meet every other week and discuss one part at a time.

Come and join us as we share stories, inspirations and find community with each other.  The group offers a forum in which members can feel the benefit of its mutual support. Previous topics include: how to improve the quality of one’s life overall and how to use structure, aides and devices more successfully/productively/efficiently in one’s life.
 
The Disability Support Group will be promoting a dialogue on a selected topic at each of its meetings throughout this church year. There is a different theme for each month. All church members interested in the topic are invited to attend. We hope these topics are of interest to you. The dates and topics are as follows:
